The best robot hoover can vacuum and mop without needing your attention, and it will leave your floors spotless. Its price is surprisingly low and high-end features (such as dirt detection) are great features.

They also have carpet boost, a feature that boosts the robot's performance when it spots a lot of dirt on the carpet in order to get it cleaned up quickly.
The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored extremely well in our tests on floors that were bare They are also adept in removing hair from dogs. However, they have several flaws that prevent them from being our top pick. For one, the Q5's navigation system does not have AI-powered obstacle avoidance which means it's susceptible to get caught up in socks and shoes and couldn't navigate tightly packed rooms very efficiently in our tests. It doesn't also come with a camera to look around corners.
Still, it's very good to consider, particularly if you're looking to save money on a iRobot Roomba and you have a mostly bare-floor home or office. It's also very quiet and you can use it while you're at work, or school. The only thing it's missing that you can't find in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on floors that aren't clean. The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact sleek and stylish vacuum cleaner that also has the ability to mop floors. Its intelligent cleaning maps and fluid navigation make it simple to clean, and effective in dealing with larger particles, like pet hair. It also comes with a self-emptying dustbin with powerful suction and support for virtual boundaries. It's the best robot hoover for carpets, though it lags behind some competitors in deep cleaning.
This top-performing mop and vacuum combination makes use of advanced sensors to avoid obstacles and pet waste and it will learn the layout of your home over time to provide more efficient cleaning. It also supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It is able to clean floors even after it vacuums. This is something we haven't seen before on other robot vacuum/mop combination.
3. iRobot Roomba X40
The robot vacuum and mop combination has a sleek, circular look that looks more like the regular Roomba model than the bulky models from the competitors. It's among our most attractive looking robot vacuums. The newest model from iRobot happens to be its smartest and has advanced features like enhanced dirt detection technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can autonomously wash mop pads).
It's the only robot vacuum/mop that has 100% in our tests, thanks to a combination of high-tech sensors, including cameras, a structured light system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could fill and empty its basestation in a self-contained manner. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mop mops.
The X40 is, like the other iRobot products, is simple to use. It comes with an easy mobile app interface that integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only issue is that the X40 is still a noisy unit. This could be a problem in mornings before work or at night when you are trying to fall asleep.
It's also quite expensive however, not as much as the Ecovacs S8 MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are both equally capable and better looking. It's a dual-purpose vacuum that is very efficient however it's going to cost you more and create more noise.
iRobot L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop with a lot of advanced features that let you forget about your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaner like Ecovacs' top-of-the-range X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It features a multi-functional dock that can automatically emptys the bin of the vacuum and fills up the water tank, and cleans and dries mop pads.The smart robot makes use of LIDAR and structured lighting to create floor plans and spot obstacles. It is more efficient in its navigation than its top competitors. It also has a front mounted camera for real-time detection of hazards, though this wasn't 100% reliable in our tests and could be confused with power cords or obstructions.
Its vacuum has a high maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to get the job done. It also has "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the amount of time the vacuum works and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for various areas of the house in accordance with the degree of dirt they tend to be.
For larger homes it's recommended to choose models with spot or zone cleaning modes that allow you to tell the robot to clean a particular area of your house via the app or voice controls. A stairway mode is beneficial if you have large furniture. For busy families, a recharge function and resume feature that permits your robot vacuum to resume where it left off could be extremely useful.
iRobot RX3
The RX3 is a smarter cleaner than you would expect from its price tag. It is a great job vacuuming, removing 55% of the debris we found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). You can use it to make cleaning schedules, arrange an area for cleaning or to prioritize your most filthy rooms for better performance. The app offers a variety of features, including seasonal suggestions, custom mapping, and advanced cleaning settings.
Its shape is more rectangular than most other robot vacuums, meaning it is able to reach corners and underneath furniture better. It has a powerful 8,000 Pascal suction and sophisticated combs that remove pet hair. You can also set up a spot clean that scours a specific area.
The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a sleeker and less expensive alternative to the iRobot Roomba. It is more appealing in its design, akin to Dolce & Gabbana. The twin cameras are designed to resemble adorable eyes. It is capable of vacuuming but is more prone to get caught on low thresholds and is a bit more noisy than the other top robot vacuums we've tested. It also has a less user-friendly app and a small base station that doesn't double as a bin for emptying.
